Wine Review: This very light white gold colored Sauvignon Blanc opens with a very fragrant grapefruit and mild cantaloupe bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and very citrusy. The flavor profile is a ripe pink grapefruit with notes of tangerine and lime. There is also some nicely integrated minerality throughout. The finish is dry and it is rather refreshing. This wine would pair well with linguine with a white wine clam sauce. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: It’s the long cool growing season in the South Island that allows our Sauvignon Blanc grapes to mature slowly, giving them levels of complexity and a vibrant zing. This wine is reminiscent of a lemon chiffon cupcake. The aromas are integrated, delighting the senses with flavors of Meyer lemons, Key limes and a finish that awakens the appetite. Serve chilled with oysters on a half shell or with a rich, creamy lobster risotto.
