Wine Review: This opaque and dark ruby colored Merlot from Chile opens with a lead pencil and old leather bouquet with a hint of black cherry-cola. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and juicy. The flavor profile is a mineral infused plum with hints mild black raspberry. The finish is dry and its mild tannins are subtle. The panel suggested pairing this Merlot with lasagna or wild mushroom ravioli. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Color: Dark and deep red. Bouquet: Intriguing notes of complex currant, plum, wild berry, and spice with a touch of vanilla and mocha for dimension. Taste: Medium bodied with black-cherry flavors, followed by bittersweet chocolate and spice. Complexity develops out of its firm, quiet and supple core. Enjoy with red and white meats, pasta, and cheese.
