Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Columbia Crest opens with a plum and red raspberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and juicy. The flavor profile is black cherry with notes of minerality, plum and oak. I also detected some black pepper and dark chocolate. The finish is dry and its mild tannins make it friendly. This good value Cab will be a crowd pleaser and would pair well with many foods. I would pair it with a burger or meat lasagna. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: This bold Cabernet opens with flavors of black cherries and blackberries with a touch of currants and vanilla, complemented by earth and mineral notes. Deep berry flavors lead to a soft tannin cocoa finish. Pair with pasta Bolognese, pot roast or strongly flavored cheeses.
