Wine Review: This opaque dark ruby colored red blend was one of my favorite Spanish wines that I tried so far this year. It opens with a mild spicy black currant and blackberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, very well balanced, and seamless. The flavor profile is a luscious blend of delicate black currant and blackberry. There was also a hint of old oak detected on the back palate. The finish is dry and its tannins stick with you for quite sometime. This wine would pair perfectly with shepherd’s pie. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Hand-crafted from grape vines that cling to the steep slopes of the mountainous Porrera region of Priorat, this wine is perfect for those that love elegant wines which pair well with a variety of foods. On the palate the wine is smooth and succulent with hints of anise seed and mulling spices. Ready to drink now, this wine will also cellar for up to 15 years.
