Wine Review: This dark ruby red blend opens with a mild boysenberry and eucalyptus like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied and very fruit forward. So much so it feels like its flavors burst in your mouth. Those flavors are a lush and juicy blackberry and black raspberry blend. The finish is dry and its big fruit flavors continue to linger with a touch of mild oak tannin in the background. The intensity of the fruit in this wine makes it a very good match for a big rack of barbecue ribs. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Classic Zinfandel characteristics of fruity berries balanced by great depth and a silky feeling on the palate pair well with the elegant and spicy Tempranillo. Along with the lush fruit this wine has characteristics of pepper, sagebrush, and a hint of cedar.
