Wine Review: This medium red colored Pinot from Oregon opens with a fragrant black plum and old oak bouquet with a hint of cherry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and savory. The flavor profile is a sweet plum with notes of old oak and black currant. The finish is dry and its dusty tannins are very sticky and tingly. The panel thought Pinot would pair well with braised pork ribs or black bean and crab meat soup. Enjoy - KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: This wine is a great example of the maturity of Stoller Vineyards these days, with an emphasis on the full-bodied reds from a ripe year. The spice and fruit complement each other nicely, with highlights of clove and nutmeg all the way to cinnamon hard candies. Dark, yet bright fruits such as plum and cherry are ever-present, and a mix of dark chocolate and cigar box put finishing touches on the wine for the evening. This could be a meal in itself, but we recommend sharing it with others and pairing with an appropriate holiday meal.
