Wine Review: This opaque dark purple colored Shiraz from down under is very impressive. It was one of our favorite wines at this years Boston Wine Expo. It opens with a fragrant blueberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, silky, and refined. The flavor profile is a tasty blueberry with hints of blackberry and black raspberry. The finish is dry and its fine tannins drift away nicely. This elegant Shiraz would be perfect with a filet mignon. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Deep garnet color. With a blackberry, spice, plum and licorice bouquet that give way to a subtle integration of smoky, vanillin oak. The taste is dark cherry and bramble fruit with chocolate nuances and savory notes of leather and spice. Oak integrates with the supple fruit, excellent tannin structure and balanced acidity. Excellent with roast meats and tomato-based pasta.
