Wine Review: This opaque and dark purple colored Shiraz opens with a fragrant blueberry and wintergreen bouquet with hint of anise. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, well balanced, and smooth. The flavor profile is a tasty blueberry with of gentle plum. The finish is dry and its fine, well managed tannins are very friendly. This wine is quite a bargain and would pair well with filet mignon. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Grand Barossa Shiraz epitomises the premium international reputation for Shiraz which has made the Barossa Valley famous. Lifted aromas of blackberry, plum and black pepper are accompanied by spicy, dark berry fruits on the palate. The finish is long with fine-grained tannins from eighteen months maturation in a combination of new and older American and French oak hogsheads. Match with peppered beef tenderloin with portobello-Marsala sauce or garlic roast pork.
