Wine Review: This deep purple colored red blend opens with a black cherry, blueberry, and dark chocolate bouquet with hints of vanilla and oak. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, smooth, and savory. The flavor profile is a very tasty black plum, black cherry, and mocha blend with notes of red currant and boysenberry. We also detected some hints of kitchen spice and black pepper. The finish is dry and its well-managed mild tannins drift away nicely. The Tasting Panel would pair this red blend with a filet mignon with a mushroom risotto. Enjoy – KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: This luxurious blend of the five classic Bordeaux varietals displays aromas of ripe blackberry, cassis, cedar chest, tobacco leaf and graphite, as well as hints of espresso, vanilla, and clove from barrel aging. One the palate, velvety tannins and toned acidity frame the alluring flavors of boysenberry and spice, with notes of anise, sage and truffles emerging on the long, lush finish.
