Wine Review: This opaque and onyx colored Cabernet opens with a fragrant ripe black currant bouquet with hints of black cherry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and savory. The flavor profile is a juicy ripe black currant with integrated oak notes. I also detected hints of anise and black cherry. The finish is dry and its moderate fine tannins are friendly. This Cab would pair well with a messy batch of braised short ribs. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Ripe and spicy aromas offer vibrant layers of blackberry, cherry and pomegranate intermingled with notes of clove, cinnamon and anise. A savory impression of warm crust, accentuated by baked cherry and espresso elements, adds further depth to an already tantalizing nose. The wine is rich and mouthcoating from the first sip, displaying enticing fruit. Big rounded tannins add flavor and structure, as well as a firm but gentle grip that underscores beautiful concentration and viscosity.
