Wine Review: This opaque and dark violet colored Petite Sirah was well received by the Tasting Panel. The Panel felt that this wine opened up with a port like bouquet of rum cake, raisin, and plum with a hint cinnamon. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced and smooth. The flavor profile is a gentle cola with a touch of Captain Morgan. We also detected hints of cherry and blackberry mixed in. The finish is dry and its medium tannins show nice length. The Panel suggested pairing this Petite Sirah with Memphis style dry-rub ribs. Enjoy – KWGTP.
