Wine Review: This opaque and India ink colored Zinfandel was clearly one of the best Zin's that I have covered so far this year. It opens with a mild ripe blackberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, nicely balanced, and fruit forward. The flavor profile is a delicious lush and ripe blackberry with notes of boysenberry and a dash of black pepper and anise. The finish is dry and its wonderful fruit flavors shine thru with almost no tannin. This is a very nice drinking Zin. Sit on the porch on a cool evening and enjoy! Cheers - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Inky blue-purple in color, very deep blackberry fruit, spicy oak creaminess, very dark chocolate, dash of pepper, elegantly structured tannins for aging.
