Wine Review: This slightly opaque and dark ruby colored Merlot opens with a black cherry and toasted coconut bouquet with hints of red raspberry. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round and savory. The flavor profile is black cherry and earthy loam blend with notes oak, black currant, and clove. I also picked up some hints of black pepper, dried coconut, and spiced black plum. The finish is dry and its flavors and mild tannins drift away nicely. This Merlot would pair well with steakhouse steak tips. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: Leading with pure, precise aromas of wild strawberry, Bing cherry, ripe raspberry and just a touch of brambly fruit, this wine is accented with hints of hard candy, cardamom, clove, and bay leaf. Red fruits dominate the entry, leading to a flood of black raspberry and kirsch sensations that saturate the palate in mouth-filling waves. A bold Merlot, with Cabernet Sauvignon-like depth and weight, its dusty, fine-grained tannins carry the flavors to a bright, juicy finish with hints of Baker's cocoa and mulling spices.
