Wine Review: This light yellow colored Spanish white wine will appeal to those readers who like Old World styled white wines. It opens with a mild apple bouquet with notes of lemon, wet stone, and cinnamon detected. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced, and slightly creamy. There was a touch effervescence noted as well. The flavor profile is a tasty mineral infused pear with hints of green apple. The finish is dry and its mineral notes linger for a little while. This wine is very food friendly and would pair very well with bacon wrapped scallops or steamed mussels in a garlic broth. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Parellada at its best, from high-altitude, gravelly mountain soils: intense lemon-oil aroma with firm acid structure enhanced by the rare, glyceric Malvasía. Stony and aromatic, reminiscent of Chablis or Rheingau.
