Wine Review: This ruby colored Cabernet from Cameron Hughes is very impressive and I am sure was a hit at the Boston Wine Expo. It opens with a fragrant blueberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, very well balanced, and quite smooth. Its flavor profile is a tasty blueberry and black cherry blend with notes of vanilla oak. The finish is quite dry and its sticky fine tannins linger for quite some time. This Cab would pair perfectly with pulled pork sliders. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Lot 300 is fruit driven with an old world soul. Black fruit, forest floor and earthy minerals kissed with tremendous oak. Aromas of espresso and toasted nuts create the framework for a pure core of red and black fruit. The tannins are finely etched, with a broad and sweeping finish. The texture of this wine is voluptuous, penetrating — dazzling!
