Wine Review: This straw colored Sauvignon Blanc from Cakebread opens with a fragrant grapefruit bouquet with hints of Anjou pear. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and citrusy. The flavor profile is a mineral infused mild grapefruit with notes of green apple. I also detected hints of white pepper and Anjou pear. The finish is dry and refreshing. This wine is a very nice summer wine and would pair well with a grilled chicken, bacon and spinach flatbread pizza. Enjoy - Ken
