Wine Review: This pale yellow colored Auslese is Excellent and very classy. It starts off slow and barely has a bouquet. Perhaps you can swirl it to a hint of apple and wet stone. However on the palate, this wine is a knockout! It is light bodied, elegant, slightly sweet, refined and impressive. The flavor profile is a delicious mild ripe Anjou pear with hints of pineapple, ginger and ripe red apple. If you want to serve a Riesling to impress someone, this one would do the trick. The finish is slightly sweet and its flavors drift away nicely. This wine is a steal at $25 and would be a perfect complement to grilled Tilapia. Call Lee and beg for a bottle or two. Not much was made or imported. Enjoy - Ken
