Wine Review: This delicate and very pale yellow colored Riesling from Mosel opens with a mild tangerine and petrol like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is light bodied, slightly sweet and shows pleasant crispy acidity. The flavor profile is a light clementine with hints of pear, lime and a touch on minerality. The finish is pleasantly sweet and subtle. The panel gave this wine straight 90 scores. They suggested pairing it with Chilean sea bass, ham or brie based dishes. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: The very steep Apotheke vineyard, across the Mosel from the estate house, is Stefan’s best site in Trittenheim. “Apotheke” translates to ‘pharmacy’, and its medicinal power is perhaps more than a myth. Stefan Bollig’s wines are stylish and crisp with a fi ne fruity elegance and good mineral content. The fine structure of ripe acidity gives his wines plenty of maturing potential.
