Wine Review: This slightly opaque and dark red colored red blend from Napa opens with a blueberry and mild black cherry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, nicely balanced and very easy to drink. The flavor profile is a tasty black cherry with hints of boysenberry, gentle plum, and faint oak in the background. The finish is dry and its moderate fine tannins drift away nicely. This very good wine would pair well with a NY strip steak. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2011 Arise exudes perfumes of ripe cherry, cracked black pepper and vanilla. Upon entry, the soft mouthfeel and rich texture reveals flavors of currant, blackberry, and subtle black olive, which unfold into a long and delectable finish. The cooler-than-normal 2011 Napa Valley grape-growing season concluded in an expedited harvest. The outcome was a vintage with flavors developed at lower brix, resulting in truly elegant wines with European-style texture and great complexity. - Winemaker, Aaron Pott
