Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Zinfandel from Bella was well received by the tasting panel. It opens with a cedar plank and black raspberry bouquet with hints of eucalyptus. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, fruit forward, and juicy. The flavor profile is a very tasty red plum with notes of rhubarb and black cherry. We also detected a hint of cinnamon as well. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins build up and stick around for a while. A second glass is definitely in order, declared one taster. They suggested pairing this tasty Zin with a wild boar Bolognese over penne or pan roasted duck breast. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: This is a classic expression of old-vine Dry Creek Zin boasting ripe aromas of plum, black currant and blackberry jam, as well as hints of vanilla and nutmeg. On the palate, this luscious wine is smooth textured, yet solid. A small amount of Petite Sirah provides a backbone of light tannins that are perfectly balanced with the rich fruit characteristics of the Zinfandel.
