Wine Review: This pale yellow colored Sauvignon Blanc was the best offering in its mini flight. It opens with a mild honeydew melon bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, very nicely balanced, and easy to drink. The flavor profile is a tasty mild green pear with notes of minerality blended in. The finish is quite dry and lingers for quite sometime. I would pair this Sauvignon Blanc with chicken and wild mushroom ravioli smothered in a brown butter sauce. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Our Estate Sauvignon Blanc is made exclusively from biodynamic® certified grapes grown on our Purisima Mountain Vineyard. The 2009 growing season brought the warmest weather in three years, pushing up harvest dates. New vineyard techniques along with low crop yields, created the perfect environment to create an excellent wine, balanced by intense fruit flavors and crisp acidity.
