Wine Review: This slightly opaque and very dark ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Beaulieu Vineyard opens with a fragrant cassis and dried coconut flakes bouquet with hints of craisin, black tea and lavender. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with bright medium acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, round, young, and mouthwatering for a Cab. The flavor profile is black cherry and red plum blend with notes dark chocolate, blueberry, and cedar We also detected some hints of integrated minerality and red licorice. The finish is dry and its dusty tannins build-up and stick around for a very long time. The Tasting Panel would decant this big boy in the near term for at least an hour. Then we would then pair this Cab with well-marbled dry aged ribeye steak or roast beef with Yorkshire pudding. Enjoy – KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: The 2020 Clone 4 Cabernet Sauvignon is a captivating wine that offers a sensory journey with every sip. The nose reveals enticing aromas of black cherry, cassis, and blackberry. The aromatics are enhanced from French oak providing notes of crème brulee and rum raisin. On the palate, the concentrated fruit is balanced by notes of Rutherford Dust, lending an earthiness and coco-powder texture to the wine. The blend is beautifully balanced with lifted acidity leading to pronounced but approachable tannins.
