Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon from South Africa opens with a new leather and black raspberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied and slightly acidic. The flavor profile is a mineral infused Slim Jim and black currant blend with notes blackberry and black olive. There is a touch of cedar plank in the background as well. The finish is dry and its moderate dusty tannins are nicely prolonged. This Cab would pair nicely with fire roasted Brazilian Picanha steak. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: This vibrant Cabernet radiates aromas of plum and cassis with a delicate hint of mint. Succulent blackberry and cassis flavors are complemented by notes of dark chocolate, coffee and cedar, which are supported by refined tannins.
