Wine Review: We were out at Sprigs celebrating our 20th anniversary and this was the wine we selected. This Chard was perfect for the occasion. It is golden colored and opens with a spiced apricot and ripe peach bouquet with a hint of banana. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, nicely balanced, viscous, and smooth. The flavor profile is a delicious oak infused apricot with notes peach, spice, and touch of honey. The finish is dry and it lingers quite nicely. This wine would pair well with rich foods. It paired perfectly with our shrimp ravioli. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Barrel-fermented and aged, about 35% of the wine underwent malolactic fermentation, helping to maintain the acidic verve while offering a rich, creamy mid-palate that isn't overbearing. Lemon curd, sweet jasmine and white pepper make up the wine's alluring aromatic profile, while stone fruit, pear and mineral flavors fill out the palate and linger on the finish.
