Wine Review: This slightly opaque and very dark ruby colored Pinot Noir opens with a fragrant red currant with a hint of blueberry and pomegranate. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and very savory. The flavor profile is a mineral infused red raspberry and black plum blend with notes of black pepper and hints of blueberry. The finish is dry and its acidity and fruit flavors linger well after the wine is gone. This Pinot would pair perfectly with grilled pork tenderloin. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: This wine opens with inviting notes of sarsaparilla, black currants, licorice root, and fragrant Ceylon cinnamon. The palate is a succulent and compelling combination of tart black cherries, Tay berries and my mom's gingersnap cookies, along with a saline, savory quality that lends it both depth and complexity. As is the custom with this vineyard, the wine is succulent and satisfying and builds to a gratifying finish where it lingers and lasts with intertwined flavors of berry and spice.
