Wine Review: This pale yellow colored Riesling from the Finger Lakes was my favorite is a mini tasting that I recently conducted. It opens with an appealing wet stone like bouquet with a hint of apricot. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, nicely balanced, and fresh. The flavor profile is citrus lead and slightly tart, yet reveals pleasant mineral notes throughout. The finish is dry and very refreshing. This Riesling is very food friendly and would be perfect with steamed mussels in mild garlic broth. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: The noble grape of Germany has found a second home along the shores of the Finger Lakes. Floral nose, lemon, lime, apple, and honey. Light, crisp and elegant. Dry Rieslings are a great food wine and pair with lightly herbed chicken, fish & shellfish. The fruitiness in this vintage would stand to a mild spiced dish as well. Drink now through 2013.
