Wine Review: This ruby red colored Zinfandel from the Alexander Valley opens with a black plum like bouquet with a hint of black pepper. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and very easy to drink. The flavor profile is blackberry with notes of black pepper, spice, oak, and blueberry. The finish is dry and its dusty tannins stick around for a little while. While this Zin is not overly complex, it is food friendly. We suggest pairing this wine with a mushroom burger with cheddar cheese. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2011 is 100% Zinfandel with aromas of black plum, black cherry, vanilla and oak. There are rich flavors of plum and black cherry along with a spicy finish. This wine has a full mouthfeel and opulent style.
