Wine Review: It is hard to make a fine Pinot Noir, but Hartford Court has done a very nice job with this one. It finished 2nd in our most recent blind Pinot Noir tasting. This wine has a very pleasing fruit forward bouquet with hints of smoke and leather. On the palate, this full bodied wine is quite tasty and expressive. It is really well balanced, layered, and distinguished. The plum and berry flavors are wonderful and quite ripe. The finish is dry, elegant, and sustains its flavors throughout. This wine should cellar well. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Complex aromas of ripe cherries, violets and cedar are followed by flavors of perfectly ripe, firm black cherries, mixed red and black berries. Allspice and coffee notes complement a long, multi-faceted finish in this exciting, new Hartford Court Pinot Noir.
