Wine Review: This very dark garnet colored Pinot was recently recommended by our tasting panel. It opens with an attractive cherry vanilla like bouquet. On the palate, this medium bodied wine is very nicely balanced and velvety. It displays very tasty ripe black cherry flavors with notes of clove mixed in. The finish is dry, has soft tannins, and is quite subtle. This wine was very food friendly and the panel would pair it with short ribs or veal parmigianna. A couple of panelists felt this would be their ideal cigar wine. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: The 2006 Sierra Madre Pinot Noir possesses a generous bouquet of rose petals, plum, earth and mushroom. With soft tannins and long intense flavors, this wine is deep, rich, and complex.
