Wine Review: This light yellow colored Riesling opens with an attractive aromatic ripe peach and orange peel like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is light bodied, balanced, and easy drinking. The flavor profile is off dry with tasty apricot flavors. There is a hint of honeyed tea of the back palate as well. The finish is nicely refreshing but brief. Our mini panel thought this wine would pair well with Vietnamese food or also could be a refreshing choice poolside this summer. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2007 Semi Dry Riesling, presenting a light golden hue, shows a fruitier less mineral character than the dry Riesling. The bouquet is dominated by ripe fruity aromas of honey, tropical fruits, pineapple and pear. The mouthfeel is very pleasant with a good balance between the residual sugar and the acidic backbone typical of Riesling with a long finish. This Semi-dry Riesling is very enjoyable with spicy food or just on its own.
