Wine Review: The Earthquake brand always seems to excel with our tasting panel. This year’s 2006 Zin finished in 4th place in our recent blind tasting. This dark ruby colored wine opens with a black currant and boysenberry like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied and a juicy fruit bomb. The flavor profile is a tart black raspberry with notes of black pepper. The finish is dry and subtle with very modest tannins. The panel would pair this wine with a NY sirloin steak with a brown mushroom sauce. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Juicer plum, spicier clove, and fuller in body than ever before! Your taste buds will be in upheaval over the suede-like tannins churning together with vanilla and toasted raspberry cobbler. The long, smooth finish will leave you in a state of aftershock!
