Wine Review: This Shiraz from down under finished in 5th place in our recent blind tasting. It is very dark purple in color. It opens with a pleasant black cherry like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and fruit forward. The flavor profile is juicy and spicy black raspberry with hints of chocolate. The finish is dry and nicely prolonged. The panel thought this wine would nicely complement barbecue ribs. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: "Our 2006 Shiraz walks the tightrope between finesse and concentration. It has a stylish perfume of lemon pith (unusual for Shiraz), lipstick, raspberries and juniper. The aromas are vibrant and explosive. The palate is concentrated and seductively lush with black fruits, spicy dark chocolate, hints of vanilla bean and soft, grainy tannins." Peter Fraser, Winemaker
