Wine Review: This very opaque dark purple colored Syrah has an elegance not found in many wine made from this grape. It opens with a mild black current bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied and very nicely balanced with tasty blackberry and black currant like flavors. There were notes of integrated black pepper as well. The finish is just great. It is dry and its well managed tannins steadily build and are very nicely prolonged. The group thought with wine would pair well with a New York strip steak. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: A heady impression of blackberry, black cherry, sweet chocolate and smoke with underlying notes of tar and spice. The sensual nature of this wine, its rich, dark fruit and chewy tannins leave a satisfying impression of roguish elegance. If Rhett Butler were a wine, this would be it.
