Wine Review: This wine surprised the panel a bit, as it showed more like a fine Pinot Noir more so than showing the traditional and unique characteristics of an Amarone. This very dark ruby colored wine opens with a spicy light black cherry bouquet with some earthy notes. On the palate, this medium bodied wine is well balanced, smooth, silky and graceful with slightly sweet ripe black cherry like flavors. The finish is dry and its pronounced tannins linger for some time. The panel would serve this wine with a ribeye. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Particularly dark in colour, almost completely opaque ruby red. Bright and full bodied on the nose with aromas of preserved cherries and dried plums together with hints of fruits of the forest and cinnamon. Good weight from the alcohol and good structure on the palate, opening out to attractive aromas of cherries and vanilla. Pleasingly long and velvety on the finish.
