Wine Review: This wine was the winner in one of our recent mini tasting of high end red wines. This dark ruby wine opens with a spicy blackberry like bouquet with notes of truffles. On the palate, this medium bodied wine is smooth, velvety, and elegant with delicate black cherry and black currant flavors. There are notes of pepper, coffee, and raspberry as well. The finish is quite dry and its building mild dusty tannins are sticky and have excellent length. The panel would pair this wine with filet mignon. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Vache is a Bordeaux style blend named in honor of the estate’s founder and made from estate fruit in the vineyard with exceptionally low yields. The wine tastes of ripe cherries, blackberries and currants with hints of chocolate and cedar. Vache is supple and round with structured tannins and a lingering finish.
