Wine Review: I tried a lot of Siduri’s Pinots during my visit to California and this one was my favorite. This dark ruby wine opens with a mild light cherry like bouquet. On the palate, this wine comes alive quickly. It is medium bodied, soft, silky, and elegant. The flavor profile is delicious raspberry flavors with a touch of spice and ripe strawberry. The finish is dry and its soft tannins build slowly for quite some time. This is the Pinot I would buy for a Pinot lover for Christmas. As a matter of fact, buy 2 and enjoy this terrific Pinot yourself with a filet mignon. Cheers – Ken
Winemaker Notes: The Garys’ Vineyard needs no introduction. It is undeniably and justifiably one of the most famous vineyards we deal with. That being said, we are reluctant to rest on our, or the vineyard’s laurels. Instead, we have been actively experimenting with the grapes from Garys’ in hopes of finding ways to make this wine even more compelling. One of the techniques we have settled on (vintage willing) is to increase the amount of whole cluster fermentation in the mix.
