Wine Review: Charles Creek was a new discovery for me at this year’s Wine Blogger Conference. I was quite impressed with this Sonoma County Chardonnay. It is light yellow in color and opens with a light pear bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, well balanced, slightly creamy, and soft with tasty light lemon flavors with a touch of vanilla spice. The finish is dry and nicely fades away. I would pair this yummy wine with chicken cordon bleu. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: The latest edition of the popular Las Patolitas Chardonnay continues to emphasize fruit over oak. Bright aromas of pear, citrus and peach are touched by a hint of spice. In the mouth delicious tree fruits, such as honeycrisp apple and pear emerge with a hint of the vanillin, toast and pie spice derived from good French Oak. The texture is smooth with a generous mouthfeel and crisp finish.
