Wine Review: In our recent blind tasting of Sparkling Wines and Champagnes, this sparkler from Gloria Ferrer was declared the Winner by our panel. This pale peach color wine opened with a shy light cherry like bouquet. On the palate, this medium bodied wine is balanced, quite bubbly, clean, and creamy with very tasty cherry and ripe strawberry flavors with hints of smoky toast. The finish is dry and nicely refreshing. The panel would pair this delightful wine with bacon wrapped scallops or salmon. Here’s the best news, the panel pegged this wine to cost between $25 and $60.
