Wine Review: This wine was our winner at our recent blind tasting of Cabernets. It is dark ruby in color and opens with a black cherry like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, smooth, with nice balance as it displays its jammy and ripe blackberry like flavors. This wine could easily be mistaken for an Aussie Shiraz. The finish is dry and its noticeable tannins have a nice length. Our panelist thought this wine would pair nicely with lamb kabobs or a ribeye. Finally, there is not much of this wine, (124 cases) so it may be tricky to find, but it will be worth trying. Their website is www.gloriasoldvines.com. Enjoy – KWGTP
