Wine Review: This ruby red wine was one of my favorite New Zealand Pinots at a recent trade show. It opens with a pleasant and welcoming spicy cherry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is light to medium bodied, soft, and smooth with spicy raspberry like flavors. The finish is dry and its tingly tannins are nicely prolonged. This style of Pinot really appeals to me. It’s elegant and is sprinkled with spice. Enjoy it with salmon. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Deep red colour. Ripe intense red and dark berry fruit aromas and subtle oak. The taste is of concentrated ripe red and dark fruits and soft fine grained tannins. In the mid palate the fruit sweetness is seductive and the taste impression finishes with fine texture and long persistence of pinot noir flavours. While drinking well at release it has the concentration and structure to reward cellaring for a year or three.
