Wine Review: I recently attended a trade tasting and this wine was the most impressive wine that I tried. This opaque ruby red wine opens with a shy cherry like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, very well balanced, silky, classy, and elegant. It displays terrific cherry flavors that are irresistible. The finish is dry, with very lengthy tannins that go on and on for quite some time. This wine is a perfect wine to enjoy with people you want to impress. Pair it with filet mignon and enjoy – Ken!!
Winemaker Notes: The J. Daniel Cuvee was aged in 70% new French oak barrels for nineteen months. “The wine shows intense ruby color. The very seductive nose reveals fresh crushed berries of cassis, strawberry and cherry essence. The attack in the mouth is dense with soft texture and layered with fruit. It expresses the finesse and harmony of a ‘grand vin’. The finish arrives with vibrancy and pure tannins.” — Philippe Melka, Winemaker
