Wine Review: New Zealand has not traditionally been known for its Chardonnay, but we found this unoaked option from Babich to be quite delightful and a crowd pleaser. This light yellow wine opens with a light apple like bouquet. On the palate, this wine light bodied, crisp, with subtle citrus like flavors with notes of lemon shining through. The finish is dry and quite refreshing. This wine paired nicely with seared scallops and a fresh salmon appetizer with sour cream and dill. This is a very nice unoaked Chardonnay and a very good bargain. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: Sweet aroma of melon, apple and honey greet the taster and are duplicated on the rich warm palate. Sweet fruit and complex caramel notes are nicely balanced with fresh acidity and juicy primary flavours. Full weighted and refreshing.
