Wine Review: This entry from Talley finished in second place in our second blind tasting of Chards. This yellow wine opens with a traditional buttery and oaky like bouquet. On the palate, this Chard is balanced, creamy, big tropical fruit flavors and noticeable integrated oak and butter. The finish is quite dry and lingers a bit. The panel felt this wine was very California styled and would be a great accompaniment for chicken alfredo or chicken marsala. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: The 2006 Oliver’s Vineyard Chardonnay boasts aromas of tropical fruits such as pineapple, kumquat, and kiwi. On the palate, there are layers of crisp lemon and citrus fruit with distinct mineral notes. The texture is silky and lean with a well-balanced finish. This wine makes a lively pairing with subtle seafood such as petrale sole or halibut, as well as chicken.
