Wine Review: I love Petite Sirah when done right. This is Excellent Petite Sirah. This very deep purple wine is almost black. It opens with a wonderfully inviting spicy dark berry bouquet. On the palate, this full bodied fruit bomb is huge and fills your mouth with spicy dark berry flavors with notes of anise and dark chocolate. The finish is quite dry and has tannins that tingle and linger for quite some time. You have to like real big wines to enjoy this Heretic. I certainly enjoyed this wine on its own. It would also pair nicely with Gruyère and stone wheat crackers or beef bourguignon. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: As the creator of Heretic I beseech, implore, demand that you SCREAM at complacency (merlot). CRUSH conformity (cabernet). LIVE a life less ordinary… BE the Heretic…drink REAL wine(eclectic alternative varietals). Old vine Petite Sirah: Big, rich layers and layers of black fruit and spice. REAL LIFE…grab it!
