Wine Review: This wine was the winner of our recent blind tasting of Oregon Chardonnays. This yellow wine opens with a pineapple and butter like bouquet. On the palate, this medium bodied wine is round and smooth. It displays slightly tart apple and vanilla like flavors with oak influences and dash of pepper. The finish is dry and lingers nicely. The panel felt this wine would pair nicely chicken picatta or lobster ravioli. Enjoy KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: The 2006 Dijon 76 retails for $28. 600 cases. 100% Dijon 76 Chardonnay Extended sunny weather in 2006 allowed us the luxury of picking at our leisure. French oak barrels (one sixth new) preserved the bright citrus character, layered with a hint of cream. The gradual accumulation of flavors in the vineyard created a balanced blend, showcasing the elegant tropical flavors of our East Block. The North Block, as in past yeas, contributed crisp acidity along with our trademark mineral finish. Lovely with Dover sole (or trout)meuniere.
