Wine Review: We tried this wine at the opening night ceremonies at the Golden Nose awards in the Finger Lakes. This wine was one of our favorite Rieslings at that Friday Night event. This light yellow wine opens with a light lime and petrol like bouquet. On the palate, this light bodied wine is nicely balanced, mouth watering, with slightly tart lime like flavors with a touch of minerality. The finish is a tad sweet and refreshing. We felt this would be a nice pool side wine to be served with salsa. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Lemon/lime to honey, pineapple and tangerine in the finish. Semi Dry Rieslings with the fruitiness and crispness go well with cheeses that are a bit flavorful. This wine makes a great sipping wine (you don’t need to be eating a main meal to enjoy it). Great with picnics / outdoor dining. With a bit more sweetness than the dry, this wine can stand up to a dish that has a bit of spice. Drink now through 2010.
