Wine Review: I had an opportunity to recently try this terrific dessert wine at the Golden Nose awards in Corning, NY. This wine won a Gold metal and I agree with the assessment. This pale yellow wine opens with a ripe pear like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is viscous, creamy, with really sweet ripe pear like flavors with notes of caramel apples. The finish is really refreshing and lingers for some time. We felt this classic dessert styled wine would pair nicely with a cheese plate and sliced green apples. This would be a really nice closing option. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2007 release of Wagner's Riesling Ice is a luxuriously concentrated wine made from frozen grapes. Intensely aromatic and zesty, each sip explodes with vibrant flavors of peaches and apricots with a hint of pineapple. The lively finish is long and lingering. Savor the sweetness of Riesling Ice with you favorite dessert, fresh fruit or soft cheeses.
