Wine Review: This very dark red Pinot Noir opens with and earthy raspberry bouquet with hints of spice. On the palate, this wine is round and smoothes out with some air. It displays spicy sweet strawberry like flavors notes of cinnamon and black pepper. The finish is dry and a bit subtle. This wine would pair well with chicken or veal marsala. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: As a finished wine the 2005 Sierra Madre Pinot Noir shows forest floor earth tone aromas along with sweet berry and Asian spice. On the palate, the wine is full and rich. One of the atttibutes of the Sierra Madre Vineyard is the elegant texture and velvety mouth feel that is delivered when working with old school selections of Pinot Noir.
