Wine Review: Our tasting panel recommended both of the Pinot Noirs submitted from the Marimar Estate. This wine was the slightly better one of the two. This dark ruby wine opens with a very inviting spicy black cherry like bouquet. On the palate, this medium bodied wine is well balanced, smooth, and displays dusty black cherry flavors with noticeable oak on the back palate. The finish is dry, slightly acidic, and brief. The panel felt this wine would pair nicely with Cajun spiced salmon or an Angus burger with smoked gouda. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: This second release from our Doña Margarita Vineyard shows a rich, beautiful color and deep, classic aromas of black cherry, forest floor, chocolate and mocha, with a floral note of violet and rose hip. The oak is perfectly integrated with the fruit, which carries on in the palate. The tannins are supple and the wine, intense and elegant, is sure to continue to develop for many years, despite the youth of the vineyard that originated it.
