Wine Review: Value reds are sometimes hard to come by these days. However, while at the NY Wine Expo I attended a seminar on Côtes du Rhône wines and discovered this Very Good option. This very dark translucent ruby colored wine opens with black cherry like bouquet and a touch of leather and heat. On the palate, this wine is round, juicy, and has some acidity that is nicely balanced with its spicy cherry flavors. The finish is quite dry, a little tannic, with a bit of acidity. This wine would go very well with a gourmet burger or prime rib. Enjoy – Ken
